From her brother Bob: ” I will write about Charlotte’s graduation from Stanford, her WW II work as a top Secretary at Lockheed, her enlistment and work as a WAC in Germany at War’s End, her exploration of Europe “on her own”, her work at the Henry E.Huntington Rare Book Library (she got me the two summer jobs there during my early Pomona College days). As you noted, Diane, I am the only person who can tell Charlotte’s Life Story. She Headed the San Diego County Library Art Department for many years before her passing. I will write more about her sad passing in due course. Documentation of her life has not been found. I will do the best I can to preserve her memory on earth.”

WAAC in WWII … served in Europe, stayed on after the war was over. Rented an apartment in Zermatt. Many wonderful photos of post-war Europe.
Suffered from dementia toward the end of her life, with delusions that terrified her, thinking she was being stalked. Bob’s son, her nephew, helped get her into a care facility.
